Response to: Equity in the Arts Can’t Wait: A Public Statement from the AFTA Arts Education Council

On behalf of the Americans for the Arts Public Art Network Advisory Council, we stand in solidarity with the Arts Education Advisory Council and voice our support to their letter dated December 10, 2020 calling for changes in leadership and internal restructuring of Americans for the Arts in order to increase transparency, accountability, and progress toward racial equity in its role as a national leader in the arts and culture sector.
We the undersigned agree that these demands are both urgent and necessary in order for Americans for the Arts to succeed in its mission to support and represent the national arts community.
